About us
We turn hard problems into software that runs.
Electric Mind is a firm of forward-deployed AI engineers. We’ve built enterprise software since 1990, first as Intelliware, and today we use that discipline to get AI out of pilots and into production.

Who we are
Engineers first, since 1990.
Electric Mind started in 1990 as Intelliware, a small team of software engineers building custom systems for clients with hard problems. That grew into large platform work for financial institutions, and an early commitment to agile ways of working.
In 2024 Intelliware became Electric Mind. In 2025 Motive Partners invested C$100 million to grow our AI work in financial services. Today our offices are in Toronto and New York, and we work with clients across North America.
Forward-deployed means our engineers work inside your environment, on your systems and data, next to your team, from the first workshop to production and handover. The people who design the solution are the people who build it.

Our values
What we hold to.
We believe the best solutions come when different minds work toward a shared purpose. Grounded in engineering and practical by habit, we value action over theory and results over rhetoric.
Built on engineering
Electric Mind was born from engineers and raised by consultants. We deliver, not just diagnose.
Energized by diversity
Multidisciplinary minds turn today’s complexity into tomorrow’s solutions.
Delivered through connectivity
We build relationships that outlast the transaction, rooted in trust and shared success.

How we work
One team, from strategy to production.
We’re an integrated team of strategists, designers, engineers and domain experts. We take accountability for the outcome, from the first strategy conversation to software running in production.
- Strategy grounded in deliveryRoadmaps, business cases and operating models written by people who have built what they recommend, so the plan can be delivered.
- Design that shipsCustomer experiences, product platforms and solution architecture, shaped by what the business needs and what the technology can do.
- Engineering across the lifecycleSecure, maintainable, production-ready software in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go and more, built turnkey or with your developers, with AI across the lifecycle and people approving each step.
What we stand for
Fewer slides. More doing.
- Systems in production, not pilots that stall.
- Working software early, so decisions rest on evidence.
- The people who design the work also build it.
- People approve wherever AI makes a decision that matters.
- Straight answers about what will and won’t work.

Bringing a bank-to-bank payment platform to market with Clik2pay
Clik2pay set out to let people pay bills straight from their bank accounts, in a crowded market where security decides who wins. We built and launched the platform with them, then helped them build the team that runs it today.
Launched then handed to Clik2pay’s own product team
Read the case studyFinding where AI agents pay off in day-to-day banking
A North American bank wanted to use AI agents to take friction out of its day-to-day banking operations. In 12 weeks we assessed its processes with 16 teams, proved the strongest ideas with working prototypes and built the roadmap the bank is now executing.

ProWire streams live audio from players, referees and commentators straight to fans’ phones at the game. Starting from an executive briefing and a set of mockups, we defined the technical strategy, designed the experience and built and deployed the app.
